noise measurement

How do you know if you have a noise problem?

Well, you can use basic subjective measures such as having to raise your voice significantly when talking to someone 60cm away. But this really isnīt very scientific is it? You could always purchase a cheap sound level meter and do a quick check. It may not be very accurate but at least itīs a start and you will have some sort of rough figures in mind.

The best thing to do though would be to contact us to arrange a Basic Noise Survey. This would involve making a sketch map of your premises and work areas, taking noise measurements throughout  and then overlaying the results onto the plan.

This Basic survey will give you a good overall feel for the noise levels in the workplace and will be the first step in producing a Hearing Conservation Programme.

The cost for this service varies depending on a number of factors including the size of the premises and the distance from our base. An average figure is around Ģ650.00+VAT
